SKU: 0021M

Description

Excellent example of an untouched K98 with frog. The dark Bakelite grips are undamaged with no cracks. The hilt, flash guard and cross guard have nice even wear with no damage. The spring loaded button is in fine working order and also has the same matching numbers as on the blade and scabbard “5844”.
The blade is unsharpened and in excellent condition with 95% of the bluing still remaining.
The rear of the blade reads 41ASW which tells us the maker is E.&.F Horster & Co 1941. Front of the blade is numbered 5844.

The scabbard is undented and straight. There is some surface rust, more so towards the bottom, but fortunately the scabbard still has a good portion of bluing remaining.

The bayonet is complete with an excellent condition frog with all stitches and rivets intact.
