WW2 German RAD Clothing Whip.

This whip was used by members of the (Reichsarbeitsdienst) RAD for dusting down blankets, clothing and other equipment. It features a 1ft lathed wooden handle with a leather strap securing six leather stings in place. It is common to find these whips with missing stings; however, this example retains all six, though one has snapped off, shortening its length.

A very interesting item that doesn’t turn up very often. You can find historical photographs of these whips in use by RAD members online.
