SKU:
Added by : Andrew Robinson
Description
These eye-shields were protective eyewear issued to British and Commonwealth forces during World War 2. Their primary purpose was to protect soldiers’ eyes from chemical warfare agents and other battlefield hazards, such as dust and debris.
There are two left in this pack, and it comes with the original paper packaging as well as original cardboard sleeve. On the front, it’s dated 1941 and the back has a helpful list of instructions as well. The paper packaging on the inside, while all intact has definitely seen some wear and there’s some light spotting as well which comes from the treated fabric of the frame of the eye-shields. There are a couple of very minor tears on the paper packaging, and also along the perforations too but overall, very good condition.
The two eye-shields themselves are in near mint condition and the celluloidparts have no damage either.
