Description
WW2 Belgium Tommy dolls, similar to their British counterparts, were toy soldiers that represented Belgian soldiers during and after World War 2. These dolls played a significant role in maintaining morale and educating children about the war efforts.
This one here, does have some repaired damage to the side of the head, however, thankfully, the part that’s been damaged is the SIDES of the head. When these dolls are made, two halves of the head are attached together and then painted. Here, the two sides have come apart and repaired. Thankfully, the beret covers most of it. Other than some damage to the head and some general wear and tear on the fabric, this doll is in a good overall condition. There are no stains or pulls on the fabric. On the left shoulder, there’s a Belgium flag. We also believe this one was made in Holland.
These dolls are VERY collectable and dolls of Belgium soldiers aren’t seen every day.
