Description

The Arabis brand of cigarettes comes from circa 1938 and was one of many tobacco brands during this period. They were actually manufactured by various companies and were considered as a mid-range product.

This box contains 41 cigarettes. Made out of cardboard with a paper overlay design and typical shoe-box style lid. On the sides, “ARABIS ZIGARETTEN” can be seen, on the adjacent sides, “50 ARABIS FLACH” can be seen – which tells us this is nearly a full box. Some of the paper outerpart of the overlay has been torn, and the corners of the lid have come apart but as a box, it st ill functions.

On the inside of the lid, there’s more text which roughly translates to tell us the tobacco inside is oriental. Under that, there’s more text which doesn’t translate well into English but essentially means, not for resale. Meaning, this is to be sold as a complete box.
