This specific German 3D photo book, is INCREDIBLY rare now. Titled, “Hitler & Mussolini Staatsbesuch des Führers in Italien”, it documents Hitler’s state visit to Italy, featuring Mussolini too. These 3D photo books are hard to find now and this particular book is such a pleasure to own.

Published in 1938, a few months after the state visit, this book is in very good condition. These books are typically issued with 100 photographs, that you use combined with the viewer included, to get a real feeling and sense of history. This book, has ALL 100 photos, each one numbered, in perfect condition and has a description on the back. The first 24 have been mounted in the book, and the others which are all in order, are included loose. For your viewing pleasure. No.33; Mussolini and Hitler walking together in a display of unity

No.38; Italian chain daggers can clearly be seen on soldiers

No.98; Hitler, Himmler & Mussolini – clearly, an Italian fascist dagger can be seen on Himmler’s belt, presented to him, by Mussolini.

Included with this book, is a certificate. From the legal office for the promotion of German writing. It documents what this book actually is. It’s also an indication that this book doesn’t hurt Germany and it can be published as it’s been checked. All too often, these get thrown away by collectors who don’t know what they are. It’s also dated 8 Juni (June) 1938 which is the same date as the printed publication date on the inside.

Additionally, the viewer is included. In perfect working order and clearly marked with “Raumbild-Verlag” as all of these viewers are. The hinges work perfectly and don’t stick. Also included is an advert sheet and while it’s not of historical importance it’s lovely that it comes with it and hasn’t been lost through the years.

As stated, these 3D photo books are getting harder to find, but this one in particular is very, very rare indeed which is reflected in the price. Some people have the slightly more common ones in their collections but even trying to find out information on this book is hard because of how rare it is. It also has some photos of Hitler that are considered rare too because of their styling, and to see him documented and photographed with Mussolini is a treat for any collector.
