Inert British No. 36 Mills Cut Away Grenade

Description
This is a completely inert, original No.36 Mk1 Mills bomb. The internals are clearly visible due to the side being cut away, revealing how these explosive devices actually work. All pieces are present including the fuse assembly, striker and detonator. The inside has been painted red and yellow only for decoration however. There are some small tooling marks on the base which are often made during the decommission process but otherwise it’s in excellent condition. As can be seen in the photos, some parts can even be removed for closer inspection.
These were the standard hand grenades used during both World Wars by British forces and could either be thrown, or fired from a Lee Enfield SMLE rifle if the correct cup discharger was fitted.
