Description

An original WW2 German leather belt and cross strap set in very good condition.

The black leather belt has acquired honest service wear over the years but remains strong and supple throughout. It retains both original belt loops, one of which is stamped Otto Breitschuh, Eisleben, 1942.

The brown leather cross strap is equally well preserved, complete with its original German clips. The leather remains supple throughout and has no major damage or repairs. To the inside is a faint period handwritten name, (see photos)

Belt

The black leather is in excellent condition with only light age and service wear. Both original belt loops are present, with one retaining a clear wartime maker’s stamp. The inside retains its original handwritten owner’s name, together with a clear “100” size marking.

Cross Strap

The brown leather cross strap remains complete with its original German clips. The leather is in equally good condition and remains soft and supple throughout.

Overall

A genuine WWII German leather belt and cross strap set that has survived in excellent collector’s condition. The leather remains in particularly good order.

Historical Note

German leather equipment was produced by numerous civilian contractors during the Second World War. Many components were maker marked and dated, allowing collectors to identify the manufacturer and year of production. This example retains a belt loop stamped Otto Breitschuh, Eisleben, 1942.
