Here we have a post war “Polish AKM WZ85 training bayonet”, designed for military training purposes, particularly for forces using the AKM assault rifle. These training bayonets were made extremely durable to withstand rigorous training exercises.
These training bayonets are spring loaded with a locking mechanism, this one is in good working order. The white rubber used on the bayonet to soften the impact is still soft but does show age related wear.
An interesting little item.
