A rare, and hard to come, by training bayonet in excellent condition. Made by R.I.A ( Rock Island Arsenal). Features a leather covered spring steel blade with a leather covered loop at the tip. The rear has two muzzle rings that secure the bayonet to the front of rifle. These were often called  ‘fencing bayonets’.

This example is in great overall condition. Leather is still supple with stitching intact. Leather is marked R.I.A and dated 1914.
