A superb and increasingly hard-to-find original WW1 German leather frog, correct for the 98/05 (Butcher bayonet).

Condition:

The leather remains firm, strong, and fully intact, showing only honest age but no tears, or splits. The stitching is tight and original, with the classic WW1 machine stitched pattern, The frog retains all four rivets, which is always good to see, as many surviving frogs from this period have lost one or more over the years.

A clean, authentic, and text book WW1 German 98/05 bayonet frog – perfect for completing a good condition butcher bayonet. These 98/05 frogs rarely turn up on their own, especially in this condition.
