Description
This scarce Imperial S/14 bayonet was manufactured by the Bayard company in Belgium during the German occupation. The blade is in exceptional condition-bright, clean and ending in a sharp tip. The ricasso bears the Bayard logo, depicting a “charging knight on horse back,” while the spine is also proof stamped.
The bayonet features solid brown wooden grips, showing only minor wear and secured with the original screws. The crossguard and hilt have some surface rust and minor pitting, but there is no structural damage and the rifle retaining button is fully functional.
The scabbard is the correct type for this bayonet and has been painted black at some point. it exhibits some wear and minor indentations but remains free of significant damage, rating it in decent condition overall.
