Description

The USA WW1 Bolo Knife.
This is a fine example of a heavy-duty very well made piece of equipment. It was primary used by engineers and machine gun crews, also medical personnel.

It features an excellent condition high carbon steel blade with a factory sharpened edge. The blade is very thick and has a full tang and birds head pommel. The close grain wooden grips are in perfect condition and secured by large screw bolts. There are markings on both sides of the ricasso. One side reads “MOD 1917” other side reads “PLUMB PHILA 1918”, Which is the maker.

The Scabbard is in superb condition, being canvas covered with a metal belt hanger and high quality leather scabbard tip. The leather has all its original stitching intact and is marked “BRAUER BROS 1918”.

A very impressive WW1 knife that I personally feel gives a lot of knife for the money.
