Children often copy or follow the traits of grown ups and in wartime it was no different. Toy shops sold these mini pressed-metal versions of the standard mk.11 helmet for children to play with. These helmets are quite thin and didn’t tend to survive.

Here we have a nice example with a large percent of its paint remaining and its original chin strap. These helmets have become rare and this is the first one we’ve had with its chin strap.
