Description

Here we have a scarce a British WW2 No.7 MK1 land service bayonet.
These bayonets were designed in 1944 and made for use with the sten MK V sub machine gun.
The blade on this bayonet is in superb condition with a deep single fuller on both sides and showing hardly any wear. Most of these bayonets come with markings on the blade, this is only the second one I’ve owned without any markings. However there are a few reasons why this might be, the most probable being the rushed manufacturing due to the speed needed to get them issued out during this period of the war.
The red grip plates are in excellent condition along with the upper swivel pommel being in perfect working order and still having some of the original black paint remaining.
The scabbard is undented and has 95% of the original black paint remaining.
Overall a nice example of the British No7 bayonet.
