WW2 German Early SA Dagger (Anton Wingen. Jr)

Description
This German S.A. dagger is not for the collectors chasing mint condition examples, but I do believe daggers like this that have had more use, can show more character and are certainly more affordable.
These solid nickle fittings have clearly not been cleaned for decades and show a green and yellow colouring. Some collectors choose to clean their daggers, we personally like to leave everything just how we find it and give the option to the next owner.
The wooden grip shows a dent to the front and several hair line cracks. The nickle eagle shows good definition but is not sitting as flush into the wood as we normally see on these early examples. The lower cross guard has the gau mark “No” this tells us the original issue location was in Nordsee.
The anodised scabbard shell is undented and there are small traces of the original lacquer present. The upper scabbard fitting is missing the O ring. I have seen people have these repaired over the years but again that’s the next owners choice.
The blade shows some surface staining and has been heavily polished. The maker is “Anton Wingen Jr” and shows the famous Knight logo.
The blade fits the scabbard perfectly with a nice fit to the cross guard.
