Description
The faithful service decoration was introduced in 1938 to honor loyal civilian service to the German people. Available in two classes, this particular example is the second-class silver cross, awarded for twenty-five years of service in the public sector (civil servants, post office staff, railway personnel and others).
This award is complete with its original blue ribbon and comes in a presentation case covered in red leatherette and red felt interior. The inside lid is marked “WACHTLER & LANGE, MITTWEIDA”.
Both the award and box are in very good condition, exhibiting only minor wear.
