Description
The faithful service medal was introduced in 1938 to honor loyal civilian service to the German people. Available in two classes, this particular example is the first-class gold cross, awarded for forty years in the public sector (civil servants, post office staff, railway personnel and others).
This gold cross award is complete with its original blue ribbon and comes in its original presentation case. The forty year presentation case is a more prestigious case and stands out from the second class twenty-five year award. It features a hinged design lid and metal spring release button for opening.
The inside lid of the case is maker marked “Deschler & Sohn Munchen” and does show some wear but the medal is in superb condition with 100% of the gold finish remaining.
A nice full set.
