WW2 German K98 Bayonet

Description

An exceptionally nice blade, unsharpened with all it’s blueing remaining. Markings on the blade read 41 ASW, this tells us it was made in 1941 by the E&F Horster & Co. Other side of the blade reads 6555.

The dark brown colour bakelite grips are in good condition with most of the blueing remaining to the hilt, crossguard and flash guard. The spring loaded button is in good working order and is also waffenamt stamped, along with two more waffenamt stamps to the rear upper pommel.

The scabbard is straight with no damage or indentations. It shows some minor surface rust in places but still has 85% of its original blueing still remaining. Numbers to the front of the scabbard read 9088 and to the back they read S/175, this is the code for the maker F.W. Holler, it is also dated 1937.

A lovely condition K98 bayonet.
