Description

An absolutely stunning unsharpened blade in mint condition with 100% of the blueing remaining. The maker on the blade reads CARL EICKHORN. The opposite side of the blade is numbered 2732 with the letter S underneath it. It is also dated 38 on the spine.

The hilt, flash guard, and cross guard are all in perfect condition with 98% of the blueing remaining. The rifle retaining button is in good working order and is waffen amt stamped.

There are two waffen amt stamps on the rear of the upper pommel and one on the flash guard.

The scabbard is also in excellent condition with no dents or indentations to the shell. The ball is waffen amt stamped with 95% of the original blueing still present. Maker to the rear of the scabbard reads CARL EICKHORN and dated 1938. The front of the scabbard is numbered 1105 with the letter S. Although these numbers are not matching the blade, they both have matching makers marks, and both 1938 dated.

A superb K98 bayonet that would be hard to beat on condition.
