WWII German K98 Bayonet Frog – Aluminium Rivets – Good Condition

SKU: 0373M

Added by : Mark Raynsford

Description

Original World War II German K98 bayonet frog. The frog is in very good overall condition, showing honest age and service wear, while remaining structurally sound. A correct wartime example that would pair very well with a quality K98 bayonet.

Construction & Condition
The leather body remains solid and well formed, particularly around the front opening where the scabbard frog stud passes through, which retains a good, undistorted shape. All stitching is intact and tight. The frog is complete with its four original aluminium rivets, all present and secure. It retains its correct aluminium latch strap fitting, using the loop-through retaining method. To the rear, a maker’s mark is present within an oval, now worn and no longer legible, but still clearly visible.

Overall
A genuine wartime German K98 bayonet frog with correct aluminium fittings, honest service wear, and excellent structural integrity. A decent K98 bayonet would benefit from having this frog fitted.
