  • An original ARP "Air Raid Precautions" album issued by "W.D. & H.O. Wills", as part of their renowned cigarette card series on subjects of national significance. Priced at just one penny when first released, this album was created to inform and prepare the British public for the threat of air raids. Foreword: Includes a message from Samuel Hoare, then-Home Secretary, encouraging public engagement in home defence. Contents: Complete with 50 vibrant colour-printed cards, all neatly mounted with informative text. Topics Illustrated: Features gas-proof shelters, blackout precautions, rescue methods, and more-all presented in detailed illustrations. The book shows some light age wear, but overall in very good condition.
  • A good, original example of the French Model 1886 Lebel bayonet, commonly known as the "Rosalie." This is the cut-down version, produced when the original 20inch blades were found to be too long and impractical for modern warfare. To improve handling in close quarters and trench fighting, many of these bayonets were officially shortened during and after World War 1. This bayonet features the classic cruciform blade, with two clear French arsenal inspection stamps visible on the ricasso. The blade itself measures just under 23cm, and the total length including the scabbard is approximately 39cm. The crossguard is clearly stamped with the serial number 86953. There is also a serial number present on the scabbard ring, though due to wear and age it is now difficult to make out (please see photos). A very interesting and collectable bayonet.

  • This is a good example of a British military-issued kukri knife, dated 1915. The blade has a well-forged, forward-curving profile with a deeply cut kaudi (notch) at the base-a traditional feature on all combat kukris. The condition of the blade overall is very good, although it does show wear and some light pitting in places, (see photos). The markings on the blade "IC" stands for India Contract, confirming it was made in India under British military contract. The Broad Arrow signifies British War Department ownership, and the number "38" is likely an inspector's or batch number. The leather scabbard is dated 1917 and in good condition with tight stitching and complete with an undented brass chape. The leather shows wear consistent with service use. The handle is nicely carved from a hard wood. It features two large brass rivets securing the full tang construction. The centre grip has raised rings, traditional to military kukris, offering additional grip in wet conditions. The wide flared pommel is to prevent slippage when swung with force. On closer inspection of the scabbard, it appears the owner attempted to personalise it by carving out a crude shield-like design. Poorly done, but it adds a touch of character to the piece.

  • An excellent example of a WWII British MKII steel helmet, produced in the earl months of the war and used by Civil Defence personnel, likely as part of a Gas Committee or Gas Company responsible for chemical warfare response. The helmet retains its original khaki paint, showing honest wear and patina consistent with age. The "Gas Co" stencil remains bold and legible with 95% of the paint remaining. The inside of the steel shell is marked "HBH 1939", confirming manufacturer by Harrison Bros & Howson, Sheffield in 1939. The liner is in excellent condition and clearly marked with the size 7 1/4: A medium to large fit. Maker marked Vero, referring to Veron Brothers Ltd, a known helmet liner manufacturer during the interwar and early WWII period. The liner is also dated 1938. Helmet is complete with its correct wartime spring-loaded chinstrap, securely attatched.
